Domaine Des Alberts (currently the Chateau Les Alberts) from 1875 , is located in Blaye region (Cotes de Blaye), situated on a slope. The area is sandy clay soil layer of limestone, clay aggregates on lowland, upland and big hard red land part of the limestone, this solid, unique topography, making it easier for grape intake to balance the natural nutrients and moisture.
Merlot and Malbec grape varieties are brewed "Les Alberts" the main ingredient, the color of the wine is bright ruby color, rich flavor and texture to balance out the tannin, according to time bring out the different layering feelings.
From that time, the owner , Mr Charles Lalande , his attitude to the vineyard : was rigorous selection of grapes, careful arrangements for the distribution, and in particular the process of cultivating grape growing, so the finished product can be brewed at the time received the prestigious standing, and since 1875, 1876 , 1877, 1879 to get a position of first class winery, (1er Crus Bougeois) its wine sells for 900 francs a ton, at that time a very high price (by that time: a 5-hectare winery was priced at about 6,000 francs).
Subsequent the inheritance of the manor ,who uphold the strict style of Charles Lalande, the winery establish a model for the vine growing; exquisite art of maintenance planting vines. Nowadays, the grape has reached 70 years of age, and stick to the hand- picked, carefully selected, barrel brewing , so that the brand standard and excellent wines production to be continued.
